The lovely ladies of Lady Brew Baltimore approached me about doing a label for one of their newest brews, a gruit called "Herbal Salvation" made with juniper, rosemary and lavendar. I was thinking of the liquid as a sort of healing tincture, and was reminded of reliquaries present in medieval and renaissance christian art.
